Artificial intelligence is becoming more common in recruitment because it helps organizations move faster. It can review large numbers of resumes, identify patterns, and organize candidates in ways that would take humans much longer. That sounds helpful, and it can be. But I always say that speed should never replace understanding. Just because something is faster does not mean it is better or more accurate.
HR must understand how AI influences hiring outcomes. This is not optional anymore. We cannot assume the system is making fair decisions just because it is automated. AI does not think like we do. It does not understand fairness, judgment, or context. That responsibility still belongs to us. And that is exactly what we are going to focus on today.
